"Stuttgart 21" goes on…

The highly disputed “Stuttgart 21” railway construction site is seen on my photo from October 3rd, 2010. The German national railway company, “Deutsche Bahn” has begun to proceed their prestige project after a two and half month halt in April. The “Suttgart 21” is a project planned to replace the current terminal main station of Stuttgart with an underground station which is supposed to be more effective. Facing the enormous financial and environmental costs, as more than a hundred of old trees in a nearby park have to be cut according to the project plans, it has many opponents. The …

The Lord Mayor

Today, I was in the City Hall of Hanover photographing the Lord Mayor of the City, Stephan Weil. The 52-year-old man has been the Lord Mayor of the City since November 2006. He is also the head of the supervisory board of “Deutsche Messe AG” which is the organizer of many important trade fairs such as Cebit, Hannover Messe and Interschutz.

Baltic Magicum

I was in the North German Hohwacht for a weekend session from April 15th on. Despite the terrific view, unfortunately I hadn’t much time to photograph. But at one point during the dusk when I was walking past the shore, two swans rose my attention as behind them the horizon was vanishing in the fog. Voilà!

One in 40.000 – a fragmentary review

Last Saturday, March 12th, I visited the CAF again with a friend and met Anup Rai, a Bhutanese refugee who has been recently sent to the CAF in Meinersen. He …

I’d like to thank Felix Seuffert for his very helpful suggestion on designing this website.
